1. Who we are
Ajwai builds AI software for perishable food distribution. This policy explains what data we collect through this website and through the Ajwai platform, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. Questions about anything here can be sent to hello@ajwai.site.
2. Data we collect from this website
If you request a demo or join the beta list, we collect the email address and any company details you choose to send us. We use this only to reply to you and to assess beta suitability. We do not sell or rent it, and we do not add you to unrelated marketing lists.
Our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and reliability purposes.
3. Data we process for customers
Customers using the platform submit operational data: intake images of produce lots, supplier and lot records, storage temperature and humidity readings, transit details, and sale or loss outcomes. We process this data to produce grades, shelf-life estimates, demand forecasts, and reports.
This data belongs to the customer. We act on the customer's instructions in handling it. We do not use one customer's data to serve another customer's account.
4. Model improvement
Intake images and outcome data may be used to improve the accuracy of our models. This happens only where the customer has agreed to it, and the agreement can be withdrawn at any time. Where images are used for model training, identifying details such as supplier references are separated from the image data.
5. Storage, retention, and security
Data is stored on encrypted cloud infrastructure. Access is restricted by role, authentication is managed through a dedicated identity service, and infrastructure access is logged and monitored.
We apply data minimisation: we collect only what is needed to produce a prediction or run an account, and we retain it only as long as it serves that account or an agreed model-improvement purpose. On account closure, operational data is deleted or returned on request.
6. Sharing
We share data with service providers who host our infrastructure and deliver core functionality on our behalf, under contracts that restrict their use of it. We may disclose data where we are legally required to do so. We do not otherwise share personal data with third parties.
7. Your rights
You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@ajwai.site and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are a customer's employee, requests about operational data should go through that customer.
8. Changes
We update this policy as the product develops. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page, and customers will be notified directly.
